For 175 years, Schlitz has been woven into the story of Wisconsin beer. Now, Wisconsin Brewing Company is proud to help celebrate its legacy and toast to “the beer that made Milwaukee famous.”
Working from original mid-century brewing records, Brewmaster Kirby Nelson will recreate a vintage-inspired Schlitz recipe based primarily on brewing logs from 1948 — the heart of Schlitz’s Golden Age, when it was the best-selling beer in America. Brewed with classic ingredients and old-world techniques, this limited release is a tribute to the beer, the history, and the people who made Schlitz an icon.

May 23 – THE BREW (Verona, WI)
Brewmaster Kirby Nelson will begin brewing Schlitz at 12:30PM, followed by a taproom talk at 1PM. Please note: beer will not be available yet.
June 27 – CELEBRATE SCHLITZ (Verona, WI)
The wait is over! Celebrate the official release of Schlitz with us as we serve 16 oz. cans all day long! Enjoy live music from Copper Box (5–8 PM) and hear from Brewmaster Kirby Nelson for a special talk at 5 PM.
